Mission & Vision

“Leadership Skill Learning Programme” is the new flagship of Leadership 21 of The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. The Programme serves as to create a learning platform for young leaders and experts from various fields.  Through the sharing on experiences and hands-on practice and application, young leaders can become better equipped with professional knowledge and practical skill sets needed to effectively face the future.

Characteristics of the Programme

Course in “leadership Skill Learning Programme” are tailored to fit the practical and developmental needs of young leaders. With equal emphasis on both theory and utilisation, we aim to enhance leadership skills of participants for today’s complex world.

The characteristics of the Programme include:

  1. Experts from various fields, (e.g. commercial, political, communication, media, public relations, education and cultural), are invited as the guest instructors to share their invaluable experiences and teach professional knowledge and practical skill sets;
  2. Course content is tailored to fit the timely developmental needs of young leaders;
  3. Hands-on applications are provided to enable young leaders to execute and polish concrete leadership skills;
  4. Multifaceted modes of training, such as case studies, experience sharing and hands-on practice, are designed to enhance the learning effectiveness of young leaders.

Framework of the Programme

“The 8 Pillars of Leadership Development” serves as the framework of the Programme. Particular thematic courses will be launched to equip young leaders for tomorrow’s challenges and to bridge the future leadership gap.

Course Assessment & Awards

Comprehensive assessments will be conducted before the completion of the course:

  • Practical assessment: Participants are required to apply and execute concrete leadership knowledge and skills in a practicum, so as to review their learning outcomes.
  • Conclusive assessment: Participants are required to complete a learning log/ project learning report in a final assessment.
  • Certificate shall be granted to participants who complete the requirements of the course and achieve an attendance rate of over 80%.
